Scope

Specifies requirements for these coatings, with or without undercoats, on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Defines the term "significant surface" and gives sampling, information to be supplied to the electroplater, treatment of basis meatal, coating requirements. heat treatment, test methods and peening conditions (annex A) and reclamation of worn chromium electroplated articles (annex B) respectively.
