Scope

This document specifies measurement methods to evaluate the performance of a vehicle equipped with an Acceleration Control for Pedal Error (ACPE) during several accident scenarios. In these vehicle accident scenarios, collisions with stationary objects occurring in standstill vehicle conditions, e.g., elderly drivers apply the accelerator pedal instead of the brake pedal, hitting the stationary Object.
